About the Artist
Denis Mayer Jr.
Denis Mayer Jr., is a Canadian wildlife artist from Quebec. From a young age, he had a natural talent for drawing, which he pursued despite his father's strict work ethic. After school, Denis worked with his father as a sign-painter, eventually moving into high-end home illustration and commercial advertising. With the advent of digital media, he transitioned to wildlife painting, a passion he discovered later in life. Denis has received numerous commissions and awards, including BC Wildlife Federaion "Artist of the Year" and Ducks Unlimited "Artist of the National Portfolio". He now works primarily with oil-based pigments in his home studio, where he also enjoys singing opera.
