While researching bison I find the big ones are off by themselves, away from the main herd. It is these guys who really have a lot of character, just what I'm looking for as my subject matter.
This extraordinary South Dakota artist has been developing her natural talents and sharpening her skills since she was a young girl. Millette began painting at the age of five and even then found animals were her favorite subjects. Greatly inspired by her hometown hero, David Maass, Millette recalls being in awe of the breathtaking beauty of his artwork and that of other midwest artists.
