We are about to travel back to the Netherlands and I know I will miss seeing these Rose-breasted grosbeaks. They have been busy with twigs and branches so I'm sure they are building a nest nearby. I'm afraid we will be gone by the time the young birds fly the nest. The apples are growing but won't be ripe by the time we leave. My daughter in law Carrie will have to bake that delicious apple pie for someone else! It's time to pack our bags.
