On the Pacific Rim—Orcas
About This Artwork
“By designing this painting with a low horizon line this creates a format that allows Mt. Rainier to dominate the image in a way that gets closer to the actual experience that this giant gives on a clear evening from Puget Sound. An added bonus of this perspective is that it allowed me to silhouette the black and white of an orca against the snows of Mt. Rainier, combining two icons of the Pacific Rim together.”
