There are several well-known strips of rocks that jut out into the surf at Laguna Beach, CA which are often painted by artists visiting the area. This view is one of them. I have painted it numerous times over the years, sometimes from the cliffs above. The soft, warm early morning light gave this one a pleasing visual feel.
