While working on another painting I suddenly notice a blue object streaking across the pond. The kingfisher is looking for lunch, flying from one perch to another hoping for better luck there. The contrast of his bright blue feathers against the yellow-brown lily pads is breathtaking. I know right away this will be my next painting!
