It’s as if the European robin was made for Christmas! During the days leading up to Christmas dinner I start looking around my garden to see if there are things I can use to decorate the table. Obviously the holly is never safe, the shiny green leaves combined with the bright red berries are a perfect fit. When I looked out my studio window this morning and saw the robin on the holly in the snow I knew I had to paint it! Unfortunately I can’t bring him in as a decoration, but at least I’ll have the memory!
