Coneflower Feast

About This Artwork

I just can’t help myself sometimes. I’m filled with joy and have to paint it immediately. We’ve planted purple coneflowers in our garden in Missouri because they did so well in the natural prairies surrounding us. It was also a good green idea, we don’t have to water them during the hot Midwest summer days. Just listen to what nature tells you, what native plants work well around you… And of course the American goldfinch is attracted to the ripening seeds. Just look at the combination: it’s the icing on the cake.
