When it comes to creating collage art, I take a surreal approach. I believe in leaving the interpretation of my pieces up to the viewer. My goal is to create works that draw the observer in and encourage them to discover new details with each viewing. One of my favorites, Butterfly Sunbeam, was inspired by one morning when I witnessed the sun shining through my butterfly garden in Surfside, FL. The colorful Monarch Butterflies fluttering around caught my eye and I captured the moment using glass butterflies and a palette of yellow and orange on canvas.
