Considering my interest in painting backyard birds, and especially songbirds, it was inevitable that eventually I would paint a robin. These birds are so ubiquitous that they are often overlooked or not fully appreciated. An yet they are very interesting, aggressive and successful as a species. A true symbol of spring.
