A beautiful calm winter day, the snow has been coming down steadily for hours now and I’ve been admiring the white blanket we have been given. Then suddenly a European goldfinch alights on a branch – and suddenly my brushes awake and I have the urge to paint! Just look at those colors, especially when everything else is so quiet and restrained.
